Join Us For An Artistic Adventure
Trusted Bond organises artistic adventures for individuals and groups.
The experiences we offer are exciting ways to explore yourself by shaping and forming wood with your own hands and imagination.
We create places where individuals can come together with others to make something unique and beautiful. Together, we’ll explore forming relationships using axes and other hand tools.
Through creative work with tools, you will gain insight into how individuals relate to one another through expressing emotions whilst engaged in the making of shape and form with matter.
This is a playful event. Our highly experienced tutors create a place of positivity and freedom, supporting each individual and encouraging them to take notice and use the tools responsibly and safely.
Our artistic adventure involves a practical experience of destruction, chaos , fragmentation and ultimately creating something beautiful together.
Each person will leave with new skills to support them in making choices in their everyday life.
Available to individuals, families, work colleagues and strangers meeting for the first time.
Our mobile workshop provides an opportunity for the experience to take place in a location of your choosing.
The first two workshops are for anyone over the age of 16 and the 3rd workshop is for over 18s only.
Short Courses
Enjoyable ways into wood by mastering the hand tools
Trusted Bond’s introductory half day and full day workshops are a perfect introduction to working responsibly and confidently with hand tools.
Humans have shaped wood with tools for thousands of years, and the tools themselves have evolved alongside us. The actual tools you will use on the course are part of my personal collection, which I have collected over the course of 40 years. Some of the tools you’ll use are hundreds of years old.
I will show you how to find an ease within the effort and rhythm of shaping wood with your hands and the tools. Through the repeated practice of the lifting and controlled dropping of the tools, you will settle into a harmonious rhythm.
You will also learn to sharpen the tools correctly to get a fine edge that will slice through the wood like butter.
These short half day and one day courses can be experienced separately or in preparation for the more in-depth three weekend courses I offer.
